We recently contracted with Spain and Sons Construction to replace an existing deck at our home. Jason met with us, listened to our plan, he made several recommendations as to how to better address the project. After my wife and I reviewed numerous quotes from other contractors, we awarded the project to Spain and Sons not just on price but because Jason actually listened to us. During the actual project, their crew was always on time, cleaned up the site each day and completed the deck right when they said they would. In my career, having a contractor do what they committed to do, on time and within budget is truely a rare thing. And the deck really looks great..

Jason and his crew replaced the railing on our deck and stairs. They also replaced the support posts for the stairs. They were able to keep stairs without rebuilding because we wanted to keep the existing trek stairs to match the deck material. They finished in about 2 1/2 days and it looks great. Jason worked with me to make sure that I received exactly what I wanted. He had a lot of patience with me. We changed our minds several times, but he hung in there. Thanks Jason.

Spain and Sons removed a worn-out deck, and replaced it with a beautiful deck having more space and an outdoor stone fireplace. Sam, the job foreman, was very helpful with the design and kept things on schedule. I was consulted on all changes and felt included in every step of the project. They worked within all the guidelines of the neighborhood homeowner covenants, as well. Workers were friendly, work was started and completed on time, and the construction site was left clean and as neat as possible everyday. On weekends, things were hosed down and spotless. Upon completion, all trash was hauled away. The result was an outdoor space that we are truly proud of and enjoy. We have had many compliments on the workmanship from our friends.
